Mr.
Hedley Butterfield did his presentation on 23rd Dec 2012 at ADMC
room T001 at 3:00 pm. He introduced
his presentation in a very attractive way using pictures instead of text and talked
about his experience about his and Mrs. Butterfield's vacation last year in Istanbul.
Also he mentioned the history of the Turkish Empire. He did not use slide
background because he used pictures and he used eye contact technique toward his
audience to drag their attention. Moreover he used body language to deliver the
meaning and the idea so it was a useful method and it's an advantage for him;
also he did not stand in front of the screen blocking and preventing the audience
from seeing his presentation contents. Therefore his movement wasn't a distraction.
Mr. Hedley was very organized and seems very confident about his performance during
the presentation period. In addition he kept smiling and gave a comments and his
voice was loud and clear and very interesting. He did not use any note cards
except the notes that come under the slides.
Mr. Hedley's
presentation does not have a slide background as I mentioned above so there wasn't
any text. But the visual items that he used were fair enough to deliver the
point that he wanted to deliver to the audience. For example; map of old Turkish
Empire and how it was a few hundred years ago and how it became today. Also he
pointed on another map to the sites and locations that they visited in Turkey.
